MORTGAGE LOAN PROCESSOR

The three pillars of success for a mortgage loan processor are organizational skills (like super crazy organized), attention to the details and ability to quickly prioritize and re-prioritize. But you cannot do it all by yourself…it does require teamwork and the right support!

  • A Junior Processor that orders all 3rd party documentation and services and reviews the same so all you have to do is focus on actual processing of the file.

  • Assigned Underwriters who underwrite following agency and investor guidelines (no overlays).

  • Overtime or weekend is optional and NOT mandatory.

What will be expected of you

  • Manage your pipeline effectively to meet closing deadlines
  • Identify and request any missing documentation from borrower
  • Prepare the file for underwriting with goal of minimal conditions and a clear to close
  • Identify options for restructuring file if necessary, based on Underwriting decision and/or conditions
  • Proactive in identifying alternate solutions to problems that arise and keeping your team informed

What you will need to possess to guarantee your success…

  • 3 plus years of recent Mortgage Loan Processing of purchase and refinance transactions 
  • Ability to calculate monthly / annual income of borrows from a variety of income sources presented by the borrower including tax returns
  • Proven ability to successfully collaborate with Loan Origination team and Underwriters throughout the process while funding 20 plus units a month 
  • Eagerness to engage on the phone with parties during transaction (emails are great…but a phone call will get the job done faster)
  • Knowledge of Conventional (FNMA / FHLMC) and FHA OR VA guidelines
  • Knowledge of TRID requirements 
  • Experience utilizing Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS)
  • Mathematical abilities
  • Able to adapt to technology and work in a fast pace environment 
  • Experience with Encompass or LoanSoft loan origination systems is a plus
  • Passionate about delivering high level of quality service
